VR PRO was thrilled to introduce their first-ever Virtual Race with the 2019 GGS LAW CANADA DAY 5K. Those who could not be with us on race day were still able to take part in this exciting virtual event! Registered participants received a race bib, T-shirt, and a beautiful finishers medal! The event sold out right away as running groups and families held their own Virtual Canada Day 5K Races (just like the one held at the Oshawa Running Room Store pictured at right with some of their participants). The first-ever Aqua at Plaza 88 Virtual Santa Race was a great success! Not only did we have individuals, families, and groups holding their own Virtual Santa Races, the Burnaby Running Room arranged a group run on December 15 from their store to Aqua at Place 88.

When the Virtual Butter Tart 5K event sold out right away, we added spots to accommodate the demand. Those additional spots also sold out right away because so many people wanted to take part in this unique event.

We’ve received so many great pics and stories from runners and walkers who completed their Virtual Race, we started a gallery to show some of the results.

 

When race events everywhere began to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, VR PRO decided to extend the deadline for the 2020 Virtual Chilly Half Marathon, Virtual Frigid 10K, and Virtual Frosty 5K. Many runners who had already completed one of the virtual races decided to attempt another virtual race distance. Others who had run in one of the live events on March 1 were happy to now have a Virtual Race option so they could practice social distancing and still enjoy racing!

2022 Avella Injury & Pain Management Chilly Half Marathon Presented by New Balance Will Be A Virtual Event.

Unfortunately, the live Chilly Half Marathon will not be taking place this year due to pandemic closures and restrictions.

You can still be a part of the return to live racing...Join us on at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club on Saturday, March 12, 2022 for the Frigid 10K, Frosty 5K, and the new Cool Combo 15K sponsored by CL Performance Training. (For those unable to attend the live in-person races, we will still offer virtual options for these events) Register now!

VR PRO will be collecting cash and fresh food donations for our official charity partner, “Food for Life” at live fall race events.

Every $1 donation is equivalent to 4 meals! With your help, so far we  have collected over $2,000 which is the equivalent to 8,000 meals!

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this Virtual Race Event! Because the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club, our host restaurant for this race is closed for indoor dining and services under the current COVID-19 restrictions in Ontario, we can no longer offer this race as a live event.

We will be mailing out all race kits to everyone registered so that you can complete the race as a virtual event.
